sacramento cancer patient care

CANCER IS THE SECOND LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH IN THE U.S., WITH THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY REPORTING OVER A MILLION NEW CASES ANNUALLY. COMING TO TERMS WITH A DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER IS ONE OF THE TOUGHEST CHALLENGES A PERSON WILL FACE IN THEIR LIFETIME. PEOPLE FIGHTING CANCER OFTEN REQUIRE SENIOR HOME CARE EITHER FROM FAMILY MEMBERS, INDEPENDENT HOME CARE AIDES, OR HOME CARE AGENCIES

Here at Harmony Home Care, we believe that people battling cancer should be able to convalesce, recuperate, and receive the support they need without having to leave their own home. The home is the environment most conducive to healing and the environment in which they can remain close to the people, pets, and memories they care about the most.

Looking for Cancer Care at Home?

We Understand What You Are Dealing With

As if the diagnosis wasn’t devastating enough, now you’re dealing with multiple visits to doctor’s offices, hospitals, treatment centers, pharmacies; all while trying to maintain a semblance of normalcy in your life. You’re afraid you’re losing someone who has been there for years, who was your rock and your solace, and now somehow you have to find strength in yourself that you never knew existed.
What if you had help driving them to and from appointments; someone you trusted to be there with them when you can’t, to help calm their stress and anxiety during hospitalizations or treatments. What if you had someone who was trained to deal with this kind of complexity, someone you knew would alert you at the first sign of a change of condition, someone to give you respite so that you could attend to the rest of the people in your life that need you too?
Cancer is beatable, but you may need a team of experienced, trained professionals to help you get through this. Do some research, talk to people you trust, then give us a call and let one of our experienced nurse supervisors help you find the answers you need and to help you cope with this situation.

Harmony Home Care Cancer Support

Our home care for cancer patients is tailored to your individual needs and delivered by friendly and professional caregivers. We work with general practitioners, oncologists, Home Health organizations, Hospice, and other healthcare workers, to ensure that the clients we care for get the finest individualized cancer care at home that they need. Working alongside these other professionals, and also staying in touch with the important family members, we update our care plans to adapt to any changes in condition.
Our caregivers are trained to provide cancer support for many different forms of cancer. In our years of providing quality home care, we have helped people with breast, liver, brain, and colon cancer, as well as different forms of leukemia and lymphoma. But our caregivers do not just provide cancer home care. We will also help with your loved one’s household tasks, such as doing the laundry, planning and cooking meals, vacuuming, and helping with more sensitive issues, such as personal care, hygiene, dressing, or anything that our clients need assistance with. We can also monitor the medications that our clients need to take and pick up prescriptions from the pharmacy. We simply add that to our cancer home care plan.
With our cancer home care plans, our caregivers can provide support with medication. They can pick up prescriptions from the pharmacy and make sure it is taken when necessary.
Friendly, warm and eager to make a real difference in the lives of our clients, our caregivers are also there for providing companionship. Many of our caregivers have built bonds with their clients over their common interest – bonds which have lasted years in some cases.

Support for Cancer Patients

Before they enter clients’ homes to provide cancer support, we put all of our caregivers through a rigorous training course at our Sacramento headquarters.  It is here that they’ll learn the skills needed to provide the personal and non-medical support our clients require.
The medical field is always evolving, and so we continue with regular training courses which help to ensure that our cancer caregivers are always ready to deal with any situation that could arise when caring with someone who is battling with cancer.
